그래서 애플의 AppStore 외에 어떤 모바일 앱 스토어들이 있고, 비중 및 성장세에 대해서 어떤지 한번 알아볼게요.
약 400개의 앱 스토어들이 존재한다고 합니다.
(AppStore, Play Store, Huawei App Gallery, One Store, Galaxy Store 등)
스토어들은 각각 특징을 가지고 있어요.
- 특정 기기에 대한 앱 스토어: Samsung Galaxy Store, Huawei App Gallery 등
- 특정 국가 또는 특정 문화에 대한 앱 스토어: 인도네시아인들을 위한 AppToko, 페르시아어를 구사하는 청중을 위한 Cafe Bazaar 등
- 특정 컨텐츠를 위한 앱 스토어: 만화와 게임 전용 앱 스토어인 QuooApp, 개발자를 대상으로 하는 WhiteApp 등
스토어 개별로 따졌을 때는 Google의 Play Store, Apple의 AppStore의 다운로드 수가 매우 높지만, 다른 타사(대체) 앱 스토어를 무시할 수준은 아닙니다.
Huawie App Gallery 시장도 매년 조금씩 성장하고 있어요.
Tencent AppStore(중국 안드로이드 기기에서 가장 유명한 third-party 앱 스토어)는 약 32,430개의 모바일 앱을 다운로드 받을 수 있고, 약 2억 명 이상의 사용자를 보유하고 있습니다. (2022년 3월 기준)
